Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AR Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity working two days in the office.
Job Summary:
The AR Accountant will be responsible for accurately applying customer payments to their respective accounts, ensuring timely and precise processing of cash receipts. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Responsibilities:
· Accurately apply customer payments to accounts receivable.
· Reconcile daily cash receipts and bank deposits.
· Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash.
· Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
· Maintain accurate records of all cash application activities.
· Assist in month-end closing activities related to cash application.
· Prepare and analyze cash application reports for management.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
· 3 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
