Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Collaborate with property management and asset teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Implement and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development.
- Partner with senior leadership on financial strategy and business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate or property management.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
