Associate Attorney – Medical Malpractice/Health Law

💰 Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
A DC boutique firm is growing! The Medical Malpractice/Health Law practice group is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of civil litigation experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lateral hire to gain immediate and substantial client contact while working directly with the Practice Group Chair.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Represent hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare professionals in medical and dental liability cases
✅ Defend credentialing matters and manage privacy breaches of all sizes
✅ Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
✅ Conduct and defend depositions
✅ Appear in court and argue motions
✅ Prepare for and attend multi-party, complex civil trials
Qualifications:
✔ Admission to DC or MD (VA a plus)
✔ Civil litigation experience – medical malpractice defense litigation
✔ Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
