Responsibilities :
- Case evaluation : Assessing whether a client's vehicle qualifies as a "lemon" under state lemon law by reviewing repair records, purchase agreements, and details of the defects.
- Evidence gathering : Collecting all relevant documentation like repair orders, communication with the dealer / manufacturer, vehicle history reports, and any other supporting evidence.
- Legal advice and strategy development : Advising clients on their rights under the lemon law, outlining potential legal options, and creating a strategy to achieve the best outcome.
- Negotiation with manufacturer : Communicating with the manufacturer to attempt to reach a settlement through negotiation, which could involve a vehicle replacement, repurchase, or financial compensation.
