Responsibilities include assisting customers with cashing checks, paying and receiving transactions, accepting authorized mortgage payments, and participating in cross-selling activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all bank customer and mortgage transactions.
- Verify identity, signature, and funds according to policy guidelines.
- Maintain currency and coin supplies and adhere to security/safety protocols.
- Comply with balancing procedures and policies.
- Provide customer service assistance to Colonial customers.
- Assist customers with accessing safety deposit boxes.
- Support the bank's cross-selling efforts.
- Process and verify night depository and mail transactions.
- Handle stop payments, cash advances, address changes, and other special requests.
- Process sales of official checks and money orders.
- Perform duties as outlined in the BSA policy, including CTRs and monetary instrument logs.
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Intermediate to advanced math skills.
- Advanced communication skills, both in-person and on the telephone.
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling and balancing cash.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to use a 10-key by touch.
- Typing speed of 25 WPM.
- At least 1 year of previous Teller experience required.
