Bookkeeper – Small Office Environment (Ridgewood, NJ Area)

Compensation: $55,000 dependent upon experience
Summary
We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client’s small, tight-knit office just outside Ridgewood, NJ. The office operates out of a charming, repurposed home with a laid-back yet professional atmosphere. The team is collaborative, supportive, and drama-free—and we’re looking for someone who thrives in that type of environment.
Core Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Process all accounts payable
- Record cash receipts
- Prepare and send monthly tenant billings
- Follow up with delinquent accounts
Next-Level Accounting Support
- Assist with additional accounting functions
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Support the Property Accountant with monthly entries and, potentially, reporting
Administrative Duties
- Open mail and answer phones
- Make bank deposits as needed
Job Details
- Location: 100% on-site (Ridgewood, NJ area)
- Hours: 8 hours/day with flexible start/end times—just get the work done!
- Education: 2-year degree sufficient
- Experience: Industry experience not required; familiarity with basic Excel is a must
- Software: Company will train on software; basic Excel
