What are the responsibilities and job description for the Category Sourcing Manager position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with a long term client that is looking for a Category Manager to support their development of supply chain and category strategy. Duties
- Focus on vendor agreements, 3rd party agreements, as well as standard sourcing bid to vendors and full life cycle agreement execution.
- Direct hands on execution of a large volume of contracts on a sliding scale below and above a million dollars - for preconstruction through to completion of projects
- Technical capability in understanding cycle time, vendor count, interactions with stakeholders to deliver on expectations
- Service oriented working mentality to support customers and clientele across contracts and procurement across Capitol Projects and MRO, Equipment Supply, Construction Management or Pre Development and Utilities
Requirements:
- 7 years of procurement and sourcing management (would look at 4-5 years as well)
- Industry experience in any of the following: Construction, Manufacturing, engineering, oil and gas - for large firms with large procurement divisions.
- Ability to travel around 10% max annually
- Workday or Oracle experience is a plus
