Job Title: CFO/CAO or Controller – Real Estate REIT Experience

Location: Melville, NY

Company Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CFO/CAO or Controller to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced professional with a strong background in Real Estate REITs and a proven track record within public companies. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of the financial close process and play a key role in the company's financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the financial close process.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic financial planning and decisions.
• Handle financial statements, reconciliations, and reports.
• Manage cash flow, capital structure, and financial performance.
• Provide financial insights to support the growth and success of the business.
• Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and regulatory standards.
• Support investor relations and public filings.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with Real Estate REITs is required.
• Strong background in public company finance and accounting.
• Hands-on experience with financial processes and management.
• Strong understanding of financial close processes and accounting standards.
• Experience with public-private and private companies is acceptable.
• CPA certification is desirable but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
