Corporate Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Corporate Accountant for our Houston area client. The ideal candidate will be a high performing individual with corporate accounting background. Primary responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant role:
- Preparation of journal entries associated with daily transactions / accruals, account recons and analysis
- Perform month-end, quarterly and annual close functions
- Assist with entering accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Analyze financial information to prepare entries, reconcile accounts and provide management reports
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Seek out opportunities to improve accounting processes, where necessary
- Interpretation of accounting guidance related to complex transactions
- Liaison to internal and external auditors
- Other ad-hoc requests, as requested by management
Primary qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- 2 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP
- ERP system experience
