Corporate Accountant

LHH is currently accepting applications for a Corporate Accountant in Lorain, Ohio for one of our top clients. This is a 6-month contract, that is currently 100% onsite. You must live within reasonable commuting distance to Lorain to be considered for this opportunity.

Pay Rate: $29-$33 an hour

Hours: 8-5pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for corporate ledgers utilizing our Plex ERP system.
2. Prepare journal entries as part of the monthly closing process.
3. Reconcile daily cash balance and recommended funding options to Corporate Controller
4. Support the preparation of Corporate Cash Flow Forecast.
5. Develop timely and insightful financial reporting and analysis for multiple plants
6. Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans for the business.
7. Ensure compliance with internal control policies and work with external auditors as needed.
8. Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
9. Demonstrate thought leadership in process improvements, system enhancements and development of analytical tools to support a more streamlined financial reporting function and better analytics.
10. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities for corporate and each of the US-based facilities.
11. Complete special projects as assigned.

Required Education & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the accounting field.
3. At least 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
4. Experience in a large accounting firm preferred.
5. CPA strongly preferred.
6. Experience with ERP systems a must – experience with Plex is highly preferred.
