We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our finance team at a privately held mid-sized firm located in downtown Milwaukee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
- Reporting: Prepare various internal and external reports as needed by management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
