Cost Accountant
We are assisting our client with a search for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to oversee the accounting functions of their facility and warehouse operations. You will ensure accurate cost tracking, inventory valuation, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. If you have strong cost accounting expertise and can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost systems for tracking production, labor, and overhead costs.
- Analyze cost variances and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee costing and valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Prepare cost reports and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- 3 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in food processing, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Proficient in NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
