Cost Analyst
Location: Mesa, AZ (On-site)
Salary: $85,000 - $104,000 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a cost analyst to join our client's team in Mesa, AZ. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial professional with experience in construction, mining, or heavy equipment industries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cost analysis, SOX compliance, and financial reporting while utilizing SAP and advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze costs, budgets, and financial trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain cost models, variance analysis, and financial reports.
- Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to financial regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to track expenses and optimize costs.
- Utilize SAP and Excel to manage and report financial data.
- Prepare financial forecasts and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to cost and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of cost analysis experience, preferably in construction, mining, or heavy equipment industries.
- Proficiency in SAP and strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Strong knowledge of SOX regulations and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
