THE ROLE
Reporting to a Senior Principal & Board Director, the Director of Finance & Accounting will oversee all accounting functions for the company, and will provide financial and operational information to assist management, shareholders and other stakeholders in making educated economic decisions about the company's performance, profitability, and future. They will manage various stakeholder groups, including banks, auditors and tax advisors, as well as overseeing and managing relationships with insurance providers and legal advisors, as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including internal and external financial statements, annual audit reviews, compliance with bank borrowing covenants, annual outside valuations, and annual budgets and projections, etc.
- Administer corporate debt obligations by analyzing and recommending the most favorable methods for acquisition of equipment.
- Oversee the activities of the accounts payable department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of disbursements, purchase orders, expense reports, cash controls, payroll funding and ensure corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc; credit and collections oversight and liaison with legal advisors to assist with debt collection as needed.
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of accounting related systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
- Responsible for overall risk management of the firm, which includes advising and consulting with the company’s senior management regarding insurance administration, legal issues, employment issues with the support of Human Resources, and safety.
- Assist with company’s 401(k), assists with Company’s ESOP, planning and coordinating all procedures and activities of internal committees and external consultants to achieve proper administration, reporting, distributions, tax and ERISA compliance.
- Work with an external CPA firm to ensure corporate income tax compliance, accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns for EHRA; ESOP and 401(k); franchise tax reporting and property tax renderings.
- Work with shareholders and consultants to facilitate shareholder transactions and business succession planning; stock bonus structure; shareholder stock logs.
- Partner with legal advisors as needed in the review and/or negotiation of contracts and provide an oversight of company standard agreements such as proposals and subconsultant agreements.
- Respond to the Board of Directors, as assigned, with accurate and timely work to facilitate corporate and shareholder financial needs.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of ad hoc reports.
- Conform with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university
- Public accounting experience preferred
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years of accounting managerial experience
- Travel: Up to 5% travel

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base salary target 200k to 250k
- Annual incentive bonus target: up to 25%
