Summary: The Director of Government Contracts will oversee the billing, budget, and financial analysis functions. They will maintain financial oversight of a grant portfolio of approximately $115M, funded by state and city governments, private foundations, and individual donations. The Director will work as part of a team to strengthen the organization’s relationships with funding sources and supervise the Financial Analysis and Billing teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Seven years of relevant billing, budget, and financial analysis experience, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications and word processing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
Supervisory Role: This position includes supervisory responsibilities.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Work with the Controller to oversee billing, budget, audit, financial forecasting, reporting, and administrative functions of all contracts.
- Review, present, and provide recommendations on financial information to senior management.
- Set goals and objectives regarding fiscal procedures that align with the organization’s strategic plan.
- Prepare and present weekly cash flow projections.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain internal controls for revenue and expenditure reporting.
- Ensure timely production, review, and analysis of monthly financial statements.
- Review allocation methodologies and time studies.
- Supervise direct reports to ensure accurate and timely vouchering, budgeting, and financial analysis of all contracts.
- Coordinate the preparation of CFR reporting and related supporting schedules.
- Perform other related duties as required.
