Director of Procurement and Strategy Sourcing

We are seeking a Director of Procurement and Strategy Sourcing with 10 years of experience to lead sourcing strategies, optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and enhance business performance.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Experience in manufacturing and managing at least $100M spend.
• Strategic vendor/supplier management experience, including Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with quantitative performance results and overseeing metrics and KPIs.
• Experience in transformational roles and managing agreements and suppliers.
• Ability to drive strategy and execute effectively.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing complex commodity strategies and global supplier relationships, including Best Cost Country (BCC).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance sourcing and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for commodities across multiple divisions, aligning with business objectives and identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality, reliability, and innovation.
• Drive supplier consolidation and rationalization initiatives, lead commodity planning including market analysis and risk assessment, and monitor global market trends to guide procurement decisions and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms, compliance, and sustainability, and work closely with divisional leaders to align sourcing strategies with operational and business goals.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among procurement, operations, engineering, and finance teams, acting as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders and fostering alignment between sourcing activities and business needs.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, implement corrective actions when necessary, and provide leadership and direction to sourcing teams across the organization.
• Mentor and develop team members, building capabilities in strategic sourcing and commodity management, and drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
