LHH is seeking an Engineering Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located on the Northside of Indianapolis, Indiana. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic organization with a very long and rich history of providing outstanding service and quality parts to their customers. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, completed continuous improvement projects, and oversee quality assurance. Compensation ranges from $135,000-150,000 plus bonus and includes affordable medical insurance options, 401K match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the engineering team, develop and achieve KPIs, oversee the QMS, and ensure quality assurance objectives are being metCreate and execute the strategic vision of the department, develop plans for improvement, and then conduct sufficient follow-up on the execution of those plansLead continuous improvement activities using Lean tools for cost reduction, quality improvement, improved efficiency, and smoother material flow throughout the facilityUpdate blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematics for process improvements, compliance, and simplificationMaintain compliance and adherence to ISO9001 as well as other customer standards while adhering to the ASQ Code of EthicsDevelop and implement quality control methodologies to enhance the production process.Create, maintain, and update test plans and an audit tracking system with coinciding audit scheduleAssist the quality team in completing quality audits, projects, and / or special assignmentsConduct final inspection reviews of products and test engineering systems for accuracy and log all errorsSolve problems and conduct root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance issuesEffectively manage processes, improve efficiencies, and decrease downtimeInspect facilities periodically to identify problems and create improvement plans so work can be properly allocatedMonitor, communicate, and improve KPI’s, including Supplier OTD (Past due), DPPM and wasteInspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standardsQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or a related field) is requiredMust have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environmentMust have a minimum of 5 years of management experience leading a team of engineering professionals within a manufacturing environmentMust have experience with ISO9001Preference toward candidates with certifications as a Lead Auditor, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQA (Quality Auditor)Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematicsIdeal candidates will possess understanding of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing strategiesMust be a positive leader with strong written and verbal communication skillsCompany will not sponsor applicants for Work VisasIf you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Engineering Manager Job with a manufacturing client located on the Northside of Indianapolis, Indiana, please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.
