LHH Recruitment Solutions has an Engineering Manager opening for our client in York PA. This direct hire role allows you to elevate your engineering career by maintaining safety and managing the daily operations of the engineering teams. Candidates must be a change agent and a self-motivated, collaborative individual. Proven experience in implementing, adhering and maintaining ASTM, ISO and global standardization processes and procedures is required. This on-site position requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a field such as industrial manufacturing combined with engineering as well as leadership/management experience as well as a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. Must have TPM experience.
Salary range: $140,000 to $160,000
Responsibilities:
- Design, create and implement product qualification programs.
- Design, implement and utilize engineering and product documentation.
- As needed, implement conceptual design studies.
- Develop technical proposals with the collaboration of other engineers.
- Oversee and ensure all equipment/procedures are operating and maintained in accordance with legal and company policy.
- Prioritize focus on process and equipment safety.
- Supervise external vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE requirements as well as company policies and procedures including but not limited to stie and safety orientation.
- Creation and implementation of engineering roles, goals, and deliverables for process engineering, quality assurance engineering, project engineering, and specialized engineering disciplines.
- Identify key engineering interfaces, including R&D, Technical Marketing, Quality Control/Analytical, Maintenance Engineering, and OES/Lean Engineering, and work collaboratively to continuously improve safety, product quality, and productivity.
- Identify and implement how to process and project engineers and other departments functionalities to ensure seamless collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to aid in decision-making and continuously improve safety, quality, reliability, production, and efficiency.
- Identify investment opportunities for equipment, safety and maintenance and prepare capital applications; manage capex budgets,
- Oversee and ensure that projects and initiatives are planned and executed on time and within budget.
- Identify, manage and ensure engineering deliverables are provided, including but not limited to drawings, plans, specifications, risk assessments, and estimates relating to design, construction, and installation.
- Identify, develop and maintain a Management of Change system for plant operations.
- Regularly communicate, present and collaborate with the team and key stakeholders to identify and resolve problems.
- Assign work activities and projects; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work methods, procedures, and results.
- Create, review, update, and maintain the preventive maintenance program, including planned maintenance and cleaning, and equipment calibration.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks, activities and upgrades are carried out in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
- Inspire, lead, coach, mentor and develop personnel.
- Create, implement and maintain KIP reporting metrics.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in a related field.
- In depth experience in ASTM, ISO programs, and experience in global standardization process and procedures.
- Minimum 8 plus years of experience as an engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 8 plus years of experience leading, developing, and growing a team.
- Must be able to behave ethically whilst making clear decisions with a sense of urgency and the organization’s best interest.
- Must have proven leadership and management experience.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with engineering and design staff, R&D staff, lab staff, etc. in a positive and efficient manner.
- Must possess strong detailed attention as well as highly analytical skillset.
- Must have proven clear and effective communication skills written and verbally.
- Must be willing to work closely with management to consistently improve process and procedure, costs savings, schedule planning, maintenance, and safety methods.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
