EHS Manager
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a dedicated and experienced EHS Manager for our client in Alcoa, Tennessee on a Temporary basis. This critical role ensures the safety and well-being of the company's employees and compliance with hazardous materials regulations, including storage, transport, and disposal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety management.

- Employment Type: Temporary (6 months)
- Compensation: $50- $60 per hour (based off experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all onsite activities related to the storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage and plan the activities of onsite personnel, serving as a liaison between the client and vendors to address service issues and contract management.
- Maintain pre-established safety and environmental standards, ensuring site personnel are properly trained and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Coordinate logistics for the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including profiling, scheduling, manifesting shipments, and occasionally physically loading drum loads.
- Consult with clients to identify, design, and implement cost-saving opportunities and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with client and government regulations by performing necessary inspections and reporting, resolving all issues in a timely manner.
- Administer client and vendor financial obligations, including invoicing, reporting, and contracts.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role.
- OSHA or EHS certification preferred.
- DOT regulatory compliance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to identify and mitigate hazards effectively.
- Proficient in generating reports and documentation.
- Team player, aligned with the success of the company goals.
