Job Description: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in family law, with a proven track record of handling complex cases. The attorney will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, including divorce, child custody, alimony, fertility and other family law matters. The position requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and other related matters.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on family law issues.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (NY is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law.
- Book of business is preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
