What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Application Engineer position at LHH?
The Field Application Engineer will provide customer engineering and development support, collaborating with Sales, Product Development, and Marketing teams to identify new customer targets and markets. This role involves interfacing with Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Customer Service teams to communicate customer needs, follow up on action items, and offer first-response support on quality issues and on-site technical backup.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain relationships with key design influencers at selected accounts.
- Assist Field Sales in developing and implementing strategies to increase business volume.
- Promote Amphenol products and assist customers in selecting appropriate parts or designing product solutions.
- Design components and value-added assemblies, and communicate designs to Engineering for formalization.
- Investigate potential engineering and quality issues.
- Maintain an organized inventory of product literature and samples.
- Communicate accurately and concisely with factory personnel.
- Deliver prototype samples as needed.
- Collect and report competitive data to Sales and Marketing.
- Represent the company positively in the marketplace.
- Manage expenses in line with performance and scope.
- Provide feedback on market conditions and trends.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
