LHH is looking to hire a controller for a hybrid role near Bolingbrook, IL. This role requires strong analytical skills to support management decisions, streamline financial processes, and enhance reporting structures.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, as well as Group accounting principles and IFRS.
- Coordinate and prepare financial forecasts and budgets, monitoring variances and providing insights for decision-making.
- Work closely with the Group Treasury department to ensure accurate cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital management.
- Oversee collections processes, ensuring timely receivables and proactive risk management.
- Manage banking relationships and ensure compliance with debt obligations.
- Support due diligence and financial integration processes for newly acquired companies.
- Ensure financial reporting and operational metrics are aligned with business objectives, providing clear insights for leadership teams.
- Participate actively in digital transformation, ERP migration, and the continuous development of KPIs that support strategic goals.
- Act as a business partner, building synergies with sister companies and ensuring seamless integration of new acquisitions.
- Contribute to organizational structuring for future growth and support the objective of doubling the business size within the next four years.
- Travel up to 20% as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or Advanced degree preferred.
- 7 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
- 3 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Experience creating reports and analyzing performance with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and/or database queries.
