LHH is working with a top law firm to recruit a skilled Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney to join the firm's Birmingham, Alabama office This role focuses on handling complex financial services litigation, including cases involving commercial real estate, distressed loans, and creditor and lender liability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in litigation related to financial services, including real estate loans, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability
- Legal research and writing - draft and argue motions, prepare discovery requests.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and manage all aspects of discovery.
- Participate in courtroom proceedings, including hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Alabama State Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation or clerkship experience with a focus on financial services
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to effectively handle complex cases and multiple deadlines
