What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fund Controller position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join our client in San Francisco, CA. This full-time direct hire opportunity offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
The Fund Controller will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small investment team, managing GL close procedures, monitoring liquidity of investment vehicles, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with 8-10 years of experience and excellent interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor small investment team
- Monitor liquidity of investment vehicles
- Support investment reporting and fund accounting
- Manage GL close procedures, including reviewing financial statements
- Maintain partner capital accounts
- Prepare financial reports
- Ensure compliance with REIT regulations
- Identify accounting and tax issues
- Maintain relationships with investors and other stakeholders
- Assist with process improvements and implement new technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8-10 years of accounting experience required
- PE real estate experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of partnership/fund accounting concepts
- Exceptional organizational and communications skills
- CPA preferred

Salary: $200,000 to $240,000
