LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company in Portland, OR on a full-time, direct hire EHS Specialist job. You have experience in safety roles within an industrial manufacturing environment. You are known for your ability to calmly, yet passionately, communicate why and how safety is everyone’s first priority. Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute safety programs designed to reduce risk, control costs and meet all compliance metrics
- Assist with incident investigations (including recommendations for solutions for the future), audits, development of safety procedures and training sessions
- Collaborate with operations, production, and leadership on strategic safety goals for the organization, tailoring safety solutions that align
- Track and measure progress related to safety goals offering suggestions to ensure progress
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or similar strongly preferred (experience may substitute)
- 3 years of progressive, related experience in safety roles
- Experience working in fast paced manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Skills:
- Strong verbal communication skills – articulating concepts to all employees, tailoring to their needs and scope of role
- Strong written communication skills – creating SOPs and other documents in language universal to all readers
About the role:
- Full Time, Direct Hire
- Mon – Fri; 7a – 4p
- 100% on site role
- Comp / Benefits – 90-100K DOE; employer/employee supported medical, dental and vision plans, paid time off, and 401k with company match
