What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Supervisor position at LHH?
The LHH is seeking an Inventory Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and to partner with colleagues across the warehousing and production departments as you manage inventory, improve accuracy and timeliness, and lead process improvements projects across the two facilities. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $75-80K per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage onsite inventory and the cycle-counting program
- Identify, report, and resolve shortages as they occur
- Compile and report inventory to departments in a timely manner, identify aging materials for removal, and make strides toward decreasing waste
- Conduct and coordinate physical inventories as required with the ability to count and recount inventory
- Conduct stock search to locate products within the system and provide suggestions for optimizing both physical storage and electronic records
- Coordinate all new styles inbound receiving, pull reports weekly to track new incoming products
- Develop and drive continuous improvement throughout the facility
- Implement appropriate actions to customer demands using forecasting and suggested improvements
- Develop tools to improve warehousing practices, inventory tracking, and product retrieval
- Direct and supervise hourly employees in product movement and counting
- Ensure product is properly labeled, recorded, and stored in accordance to safety and compliance standards
- Evaluate and recommend training resources to support employee development
- Assist with inventory audits and reviews
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Management is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of inventory control experience is required
- Must have 5 years of experience directly managing inventory, materials, and/or warehousing staff
- Must have intermediate to advanced skills utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ideal candidates will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
