What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate position at LHH?
LHH is working with a highly regarded, full-service law firm to recruit an experienced litigation associate for the firm's Jackson, Mississippi office. This partnership track opportunity offers excellent potential for mentorship and growth in a large law firm environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with civil litigation in a large law firm or sophisticated boutique firm setting, including conducting legal research and drafting pretrial motions and briefs, managing written discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing pretrial motions, attending mediations, and assisting with trial preparation. Experience with commercial disputes and breach of contract matters is preferred but not required.
Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.
Qualifications Sought:
- JD from an ABA acreddited law school and outstanding academic credentials
- 2 years of relevant civil litigation experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Mississippi law license or eligbility for admission to the Mississippi Bar
