Position Overview: I am currently working with a highly reputable litigation boutique law firm in Chicago, who are actively looking for a Finance Litigation Attorney to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- As a key member of the firm's litigation department, you will be responsible for representing the firm's clients in a variety of financial disputes, including but not limited to, banking litigation, securities litigation, regulatory investigations, and other complex commercial matters.
- Conducting legal research and analysis on complex financial issues.
- Drafting legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
- Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials
- Negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Illinois state bar and in good standing.
- 3 years of experience practicing finance litigation at a reputable law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience representing financial institutions, investment banks, or other finance-related entities would be a plus.
