Job Description:
The LHH Talent Solutions Paralegal - Litigation will support the litigation and family law team by performing a variety of tasks, including legal research, drafting documents, case file management, and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the law and eager to contribute to impactful legal work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research & Writing: Conduct legal research and draft memos, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence under the supervision of attorneys.
- Document Management: Organize, maintain, and update case files and legal documents, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Case Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings, including scheduling, document compilation, and logistics coordination.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and external parties, providing updates and gathering necessary documentation.
- Administrative Support: Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and perform other administrative tasks to support the legal team with the assistance of a Legal Assistant.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree required (or Paralegal Certificate OR experience can suffice); Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department. Experience in litigation and family law is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficient in legal research databases and case management software.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Other Requirements:??Familiarity with court procedures and legal terminology. A commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
