LHH is currently seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal to join a well-established law firm in Plantation, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal with a strong background in construction litigation. In this role, you will support a team of attorneys and play a critical part in all phases of construction-related litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of construction litigation, including document preparation, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
- Conduct legal research related to construction law and litigation.
- Prepare and organize exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Coordinate with experts, clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Assist in managing discovery, including gathering, reviewing, and organizing documents and evidence.
- Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court procedures.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on case progress.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a paralegal in construction litigation.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, litigation processes, and related documentation.
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal software, e-filing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Paralegal certification preferred, but not required.
