LHH is assisting a prestigious law firm in Charlotte, NC, in their search for a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong background in litigation, especially in handling large, complex cases and government investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys with all aspects of discovery, including document management, review, production, and written discovery
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents such as motions, memoranda, affidavits, and pleadings
- Research case filings, public records, and background information to support litigation strategy
- Cite-check legal memoranda and ensure accuracy in all legal documents
- Manage document filing across all levels of state and federal courts, both electronically and in hard copy
- Prepare for and attend hearings, arbitrations, and trials, offering support where needed
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level paralegals, acting as a subject matter expert
- Handle any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the attorneys
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, with either a paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies
- 10 years of experience in litigation, especially with large, complex cases or government investigations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, litigation software (e.g., Relativity), and e-discovery platforms
- Strong ability to manage case files and utilize case management software efficiently
- Exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong communication and client service skills
- Previous experience in a highly regulated industry or a global law firm is a plus
