LHH is working with an oil and gas company that is adding a new Accountant to their team. In this role you will play an integral role within a dynamic and fast-paced oil and gas partnership accounting team, contributing to key accounting functions and supporting financial reporting processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger for partnerships.
- Reconcile partnership bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Set up and maintain investor information in the accounting system.
- Prepare quarterly distributions for partnership investors.
- Generate reports and workbooks to assist in the preparation of K1 tax reporting.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply the terms to financial reporting, income, and expense allocations.
- Assist with additional accounting tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience (required).
- Experience in oil and gas or partnership accounting (preferred).
- Experience with PakEnergy/Wolfepak and/or Enertia (preferred).
- Strong ability to organize and manage large volumes of data.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, INDEX/MATCH).
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite.
