What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with a nonprofit association in the Washington, DC area to find an exceptional Operations Manager. This is a temporary-to-hire position requiring 5 days a week onsite. The hourly pay ranges from $35-$37 per hour, with a permanent salary of $85,000-$100,000 upon conversion. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of the mailroom, print shop, security, emergency evacuations, environmental health and safety (EHS), life safety, business continuity, and other facilities-related functions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring efficient workflows, compliance with safety regulations, and the seamless operation of office facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee security operations, manage security contractors and systems, develop and monitor security protocols, and conduct regular reviews and updates.
- Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans, execute regular drills, and act as the primary contact during emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, conduct safety inspections, design and implement safety policies, and monitor EHS performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans, conduct risk assessments, coordinate cross-departmental efforts, and lead periodic reviews and testing.
- Manage the service center team, oversee mail and package distribution, supervise print operations, and maintain printing equipment.
- Assist with facilities management tasks, support office projects, act as a liaison with building management, and manage facilities budgets.
- Lead efforts to achieve sustainability certifications, implement environmentally friendly practices, monitor sustainability metrics, and promote office-wide initiatives.
