Payroll/AP Specialist – Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
Schedule: Mon - Fri - 7AM - 4PM or 8AM - 5PM
Pay: $25/hr – $28/hr | Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable AP & Payroll Specialist to support our finance team with essential accounts payable and payroll operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial processing and reporting, while also supporting HR-related payroll tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and code vendor invoices, ensuring timely submissions for internal approval
- Manage accounts payable inquiries and maintain organized vendor records and documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a prompt manner
- Identify and prepare vendor invoices for accrual at month-end
- Enter prevailing wage payroll data into designated online systems and portals
- Support the HR department with payroll data entry and organization using Dayforce
- Maintain current prevailing wage data
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll data submissions
- Manage employee branch assignments and update timekeeping records accordingly
- Submit certified payroll reports on a weekly basis
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to support department goals
Qualifications
- 3 years in accounts payable and payroll
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as Dayforce and prevailing wage compliance is a plus
- Previous experience in accounts payable or payroll support preferred
