The LHH is seeking a Planning Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Lafayette, Indiana. This is an opportunity to join a well-established organization who is growing and expanding their operations. In this role, you will have the authority to lead a team, enhance operations planning processes, and implement changes and process improvements. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $110,000-130,000 per year and includes incredibly affordable medical insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute production plans and schedules to meet production demands.
- Implement best practices for demand planning, capacity planning, and supply chain planning
- Lead a team of planners and schedulers as they create and implement production plans for multiple production lines.
- Confirm accurate sales figures and sales forecasts before creating the production schedule.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to decrease lead time and improve on-time delivery to customers.
- Responsible for the development and accuracy of raw material and finished goods inventory reports.
- Manage inventory levels and lead monthly capacity planning efforts.
- Partner with the purchasing department and confirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials & packaging components are in place before adding to production schedule.
- Anticipate planning based on customer prior year purchases & current stock levels.
- Communicate with customers regarding forecast demand reviews, lead time on finished goods, etc.
- Resolve supply-demand issues and complaints.
- Collect data, perform analyses, and report findings to the leadership team.
- Play a key role in the implementation of new processes, technology, and products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of production scheduling experience within the manufacturing industry is required
- Must have 2 years of experience managing a team of direct reports
- Must have experience with sales and operations planning
- Must possess a working knowledge of value streams, coordinating multiple production lines, and anticipating production needs.
- Must have intermediate or advanced skills using Excel
- Must be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent communication skills
