LHH is supporting a growing Private Equity Firm located in Northern Virginia, seeking a growth-driven Finance Associate to join their team and contribute to their continued success.
The Finance Associate will oversee the financial operations of the firm, in close coordination with the CFO. This position will be responsible for managing the relationship with a third-party fund administrator, driving planning and strategic financial forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the third-party fund administrator, ensuring timely and accurate fund accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage the financial operations of the management company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide insights into the firm’s financial performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and tax filings.
- Support the CFO in strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to ensure the firm’s financial stability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the private equity or investment management industry.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance related to alternative asset management industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
