Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner III to join our team in Waltham, MA. This role focuses on strategic sourcing and project-specific procurement for complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) electric construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables, and expertise in procurement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for large, complex projects.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to clearly communicate commercial impacts to leadership.
- Experience in managing cross-functional project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Ariba.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Field visit capability for project-related activities.
Preferred Experience:
- Procurement experience in the EPC or electric construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic sourcing approaches for large, complex, and/or EPC electric construction projects.
- Apply preestablished category sourcing strategies to project-specific go-to-market plans.
- Interpret terms and conditions (T&C) to assess commercial impacts based on scope of work.
- Communicate and negotiate T&C with suppliers to minimize risk and maximize benefit.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at both project and executive levels.
- Manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive deliverables and projects simultaneously.
- Delegate and oversee project deliverables to teams consisting of representatives from various business areas.
- Conduct field visits for pre-bids and in-person project meetings.
- Create detailed project presentations and reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Ariba.
