LHH is seeking a Production Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Rensselaer, IN. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team and to join an industry-leader in a unique manufacturing environment. In this role, you will manage a team operators and technicians as you oversee the production-related activities within your designated area. The compensation ranges between $70,000-80,000 per year and includes incredibly affordable insurance options where the company pays for nearly all of your out of pocket expenses, a 401k plan with a company match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all production staff, evaluate work orders, and create production schedules to meet customer demandsCoordinate the activities of the welding and fabrication team and ensure that materials and products move smoothly through the facilityMonitor and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demandsConfirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials before adding to production schedule and assign work dutiesEnsure all welding and fabrication work meets company standards and customer specificationsConduct Root Cause Analysis to identify and resolve process-related stoppages, prevent production delays and / or backlogs, and eliminate recurrence of non-conformance issuesCollaborate with other departments, including painting, assembly, and quality control, to ensure seamless production processesConduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standardsTroubleshoot and resolve any issues related to welding and fabrication processesTrain and mentor team members to enhance their skills and productivityRemain in compliance with Quality Assurance and Safety standards at all timesQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is requiredTechnical certification or degree in welding, fabrication, or a related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of metal manufacturing experience is requiredPreferred candidates will have experience and / or previous knowledge of welding operations (although you do not need to be a welder to qualify for this position)Must have 2 years of leadership experience leading a manufacturing / production teamMust have experience with production scheduling and understand how materials flow efficiently through a manufacturing facilityMust possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsMust be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent communication skillsMust have intermediate or advanced skills using ExcelCompany will not sponsor applicants for Work VisasIf you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Production Supervisor job with a manufacturing client located in Rensselaer, IN, please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.
