LHH is seeking a Quality Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Columbus, IN. In this position, you will lead a small team of quality professionals, run the quality management system, and oversee quality engineering, new part production, and supplier development in a team-oriented work environment. Compensation ranges between $100,000-107,000 plus bonus and includes very affordable insurance programs, a 401k plan with a company match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the quality engineering team, oversee the QMS, and ensure quality marks are being metMaintain compliance and adherence to ISO9001 and IATF16949Create and execute the strategic vision of the department, develop plans for improvement, and help in executing those plansMonitor, communicate, and improve key KPI’s, including Supplier OTD (Past due), DPPM and wasteCreate, maintain, and update test plans and an audit tracking system with coinciding audit scheduleConduct final inspection reviews of products and test engineering systems for accuracy and log all errorsFollow the ASQ Code of EthicsSpearhead supplier developmentSolve problems and conduct root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance issuesInspect facilities periodically to identify problems and create weekly maintenance / remediation schedules so work can be allocatedRecommend changes for process improvements to the manufacturing and quality processParticipate in quality audits, projects, or special assignments as assignedMonitor the inventory of materials, replacement parts, and equipmentEnsure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulationsUpdate blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematics for process improvements, compliance, and simplificationQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Engineering is highly preferredMust have work experience with ISO9001 and IATF16949A minimum of 5 years of Quality Engineering experience within automotive manufacturing is requiredA minimum of 2 years of previous management experience within a quality department is requiredPreference toward those with certifications as a Lead Auditor, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQA (Quality Auditor)Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematicsIdeal candidates will possess understanding of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing strategiesIdeal candidates will have experience with mission-critical products and / or in federally regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, etc.Must have knowledge of quality standards and health & safety practices and regulationsMust be willing to learn, self-motivated, and a positive leaderCompany will not sponsor applicants for Work VisasIf you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Quality Manager Job located in Columbus, IN, please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.
