Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and support external audits and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor variances.
- Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with large datasets and complex financial models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
