What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Cost Accountant position at LHH?
We have partnered with a leading manufacturing operation in the Seattle area who are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant looking to take the next step in their career! This role reports to the Controller and will work closely with the Plant Manager.
Primary duties:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Maintain and update cost-related activities within the ERP system
- Monitor and analyze inventory costs, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
- Implement and maintain cost control procedures to ensure financial stability and compliance.
- Perform ad hoc requests related to BOM and COGS as needed
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of Accounting experience within manufacturing or related field
- 2 years of Cost Accounting/Inventory Accounting experience
