Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Financial Data and Analytics Analyst to join our team. This role focuses on transforming financial data into actionable insights through advanced reporting and analytics tools, primarily Power BI. The ideal candidate will excel at collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to drive decision-making, while also taking ownership of creating and maintaining robust reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, accurate, and actionable financial insights.
- Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Leverage advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and key opportunities within financial data.
- Develop and automate financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks to prepare datasets for reporting and analysis, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various systems and sources into cohesive reporting solutions.
- Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
- Deliver monthly and ad hoc performance reports, including variance analysis and key metrics tracking.
- Continuously enhance reporting capabilities by incorporating new tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Power BI, providing guidance and training to team members as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in financial data analytics, report creation, or a similar role.
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and create automated, scalable reporting solutions.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, visualization best practices, and financial KPIs.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or other database querying languages.
- Solid understanding of financial principles, reporting processes, and data analysis methods.
- Expertise in data transformation and ETL processes.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
