Job Title: Senior Lease Accountant

Location: Richardson, Texas (In-office through training, hybrid schedule post-training)

Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 3% Bonus

We are partnering with a fast-growing, well-established architecture firm known for their exceptional service. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Lease Accountant to join their dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing and reporting lease-related transactions in accordance to ASC 842. This individual will also handle fixed assets accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage lease accounting processes in compliance with ASC 842.
• Maintain and reconcile lease-related accounts, including lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.
• Prepare and review lease-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to leases and fixed assets.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in lease and fixed asset accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in lease accounting, with a strong understanding of ASC 842.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an ERP system.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
