Senior Tax Accountant

Tax Senior

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Tax Senior to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and planning for non-profits, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing multiple client engagements, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior staff. This is a permanent direct hire position that will pay between $75K and $95K annually.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and provide technical guidance on complex tax issues.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
• Mentor and train junior staff, providing feedback and guidance to support their professional development.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
• Stay current on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients.
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal preparation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
