Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of all client accounting tasks according to firm quality standards; review work of Client Accountants and other Client Advisors for accuracy.
- Develop the scope of each project; accurately plan project tasks and timelines to meet due dates for all deliverables on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Display strong project management skills to consistently ensure engagements are completed within scope and budget.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Proactively manage project updates, keeping clients and team informed of project status and any potential issues.
- Effectively communicate complex accounting issues with clients and consistently make the best decisions on their behalf.
- Achieve goals for monthly client contact, percentage of completion, and new/expanded client services.
- Provide valuable feedback to team members regularly.
- Read feedback and follow up with relevant training, mentoring, encouragement, and accountability for team members.
- Communicate effectively with team members about their standing within the organization.
- Develop team members' skills by delegating challenging assignments and including Client Accountants in client meetings when necessary.
- Participate in leadership roles within the community/industry and firm marketing activities.
- Identify and qualify prospects for the firm and demonstrate success in converting them to clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Completed all requirements to be a licensed CPA or other comparable designation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Staff and Senior Accountant or related position.
