Sourcing and Contracts Senior Specialist

Pay Rate: $37-42/hr; this is a 12 month (w2) contract role with possibility of going longer.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 9am - 5pm

Our client, in partnership with LHH, is actively seeking a motivated Contracts Senior to join their team in a Hybrid capacity. This position is ideal for an individual with expertise in negotiating Software as a service contracts, and hands on experience with WSS or WSS Scout RFP. There is a strong preference for commercial procurement or Financial institute experience. Also seeking experience with buying market data or with data subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• handling the sourcing and contracting specific to category suppliers.
• all aspects of running sourcing events (RFXs) including handling supplier RFX development
• leading supplier meetings and providing subject matter expertise during the sourcing process
• analysis and recommendation of supplier proposals,
• negotiating, structuring, and management of contractual documents that establish business relationships with suppliers for our Software &Applications/SAAS categories.
• negotiate and implement new contracts not resulting from a sourcing event as well as statements of work and/or amendments to existing agreements.
• ensure integration of and compliance with vendor risk, diversity, and management requirements throughout the sourcing process.

Qualifications:

• 5 - 7 years proven experience working in Purchasing, commercial Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management environments
• Minimum of 5 years in Software/Cloud/SaaS procurement
• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Outstanding negotiation, analytical, decision making, and customer relationship skills
• Experience in developing and running sourcing events from development to contract execution
• Broad-based experience in supply chain, procurement, contracts, project management
• Knowledge and expertise of purchasing systems, category management, and strategic sourcing methodologies
