What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff/Sr. Accountant position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with a client in the lower Fairfield County area for a Staff Accountant. The role will be responsible for producing monthly financial statements, preparing monthly closings for separate consolidating entities, and reviewing monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure both systems have properly transferred to the general ledger. This position is on-site in the office 5 days/week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of the month end close
- Manage fixed asset depreciations reports
- Verify expenses for different asset categories
- Be a key player in annual budget and monthly variance analysis
- Prepare journal entries and financial statement reports
- Assess, document, and record the accounting impact of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare the monthly cash flow analysis
- Interact with external and internal auditors
- Ad hoc projects and reporting

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
