Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee the global logistics spend for a large manufacturing client of ours. Primary objective to being will be the execution of a large Request for Proposal (RFP) for potential logistics providers. This role is critical in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring cost-effective and efficient logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize global logistics spend, ensuring cost efficiency and service quality.
- Lead the execution of a comprehensive RFP process for selecting logistics providers.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with logistics providers to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
