What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sustaining Engineer position at LHH?
Position Overview : LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Sustaining Engineer in Santa Cruz, CA. This position is full-time, direct hire, onsite, with a salary range of $115K - $140K.
Responsibilities :
- Provide expert technical assistance to address technical questions from strategic volume suppliers, critical to meeting the product launch schedule.
- Assist in the validation of volume suppliers after feasibility has been demonstrated with “pilot” suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to control electronics, both independently and in collaboration with other teams.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses of electronic failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancement, reliability improvement, and cost optimization, and lead efforts to implement these improvements.
- Work on analog and digital design, with experience in tools such as Orcad / Allegro, PCAD, and Altium.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including specifications, design changes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Additional assigned responsibilities.
