Trust & Estates/Commercial Banking Paralegal - Boston, MA
LHH is seeking an experienced paralegal to support our banking and estate planning practice. This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in Trust & Estates, complex commercial banking and real estate matters, as well as trust and estate planning experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in commercial banking, real estate transactions, and estate administration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration of complex and taxable estates, including preparation and filing of state and federal estate tax returns
- Provide paralegal support for complex commercial banking and real estate matters, including UCC searches, lien searches, title examinations, asset searches, foreclosures, and preparation of commercial transaction documents
- Prepare ancillary estate planning documents, such as durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, HIPAA forms, and basic funding documents
- Support the administration of irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs) and other trust structures
- Collaborate with attorneys and clients to manage and resolve various estate-related matters, including asset distribution and compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program
- At least five (5) years of experience in commercial banking, real estate, or trust and estate matters
- Familiarity with estate administration processes, including the preparation of estate tax returns and ancillary estate planning documents
- Strong knowledge of UCC searches, lien searches, title examinations, and asset searches
- Experience in ILIT administration or other specialized trust matters is a plus
- Proficiency with Outlook, MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
- Experience with estate planning software
- Ability to multi task, work independently, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills for client servicing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster strong client relationships
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
